Misconception about wood #1 : “Cutting wood is destroying the forest”

Forests need sometimes to be helped ! Nature is well done but may be improved by loogers. Some mature trees need to be cut to ventilate and support the growth of young trees. Vegetation clearance is the best way to let the most beautiful trees in the forests grow. By managing forests, we can prevent trees from diseases and climatic hazards. Moreover “a forest does not need human intervention to restore itself. Adult trees produce seeds which, by germinating, will give the trees of the future forest: this is called natural regeneration. Thus, For example, 70% of the French forest is regenerated naturally, while 30% is regenerated by planting.”
